OUR KNÄCKEBRÖD BAKERY

CONTINUING A LONG AND TASTY TRADITION OF CRAFTSMANSHIP

In our bakery the ovens are fired with spruce and pine. Our bakers wield their paddles as knäckebröd is baked the traditional way. This gives our bread its truly unique taste and no two are ever the same. Welcome to our bakery. Hear the crackle of the fire in the ovens, feel the warmth and aroma, and watch as the bakers help to keep alive a part of Swedish cultural heritage.

BAKERY HOurs

We reserve the right to make changes and for any deviations in connection with holidays and sick leave.

Bakery hours usually Wednesday-Friday 10:00-16:00 some weeks also on Tuesdays. Subject to change.

This is your chance as a visitor to experience traditional bread craftsmanship up close – and to feel the warmth and smell from the ovens. On days when no bread is being baked, other tasks are carried out in the bakery, such as sorting and packaging bread.

During the periods 7th-11th July, 21st-25th July and 28th July-1st August (weeks 28, 30, and 31), the bakery is open a few days each week (on varying days). The ovens are fired up, and as a visitor you will have the opportunity to “Bake Your Own Bread” together with the baker. Price: 5 crispbread rounds for 95 SEK – just like a regular bread package. Put on a baker’s coat and bake your very own crispbread!

Please note: The bakery is closed for vacation between 14th-18th July (week 29) 2025.

Knäckebröd is available at all times when the Food Hall is open.
